What OLOHP Women Are Up To

Not surprisingly, the women who have shared their stories with the OLOHP are a fascinating bunch. So much so that we decided to devote a page on our website to highlight some of the many endeavors in which they are currently involved.

Almost every lesbians coming of age during the mid 1900s knew of Ann Bannon. From 1957 to 1962, she wrote six lesbian pulp fiction novels known as The Beebo Brinker Chronicles. The books' enduring popularity and impact on lesbian identity has earned her the title "Queen of Lesbian Pulp Fiction".

Note sent to the OLOHP: What you have done is so important that I think even you don’t understand it. This will have a life of its own and be around way after we are gone. To have thought this up, seen the need, and assumed the effort to get it done is phenomenal. I really do salute you.
TF says: The women that the OLOHP has brought to us have lived remarkable lives, often solitary and private, and we are far richer for knowing these women, their struggles and their passion.
