What OLOHP Women Are Up To

Not surprisingly, the women who have shared their stories with the OLOHP are a fascinating bunch. So much so that we decided to devote a page on our website to highlight some of the many endeavors in which they are currently involved.

Kathy Prezbindowski,
University Place, WA
Born 1943, interviewed in 2011

For more than 20 years now, Kathy has devoted herself to helping mature women through the coming out process.  She currently hosts Coming Out Women which offers confidential support and networking at any point in the coming out process for women who are lesbian, bi, trans, or trying to figure it all out. As Kathy describe the Coming Out Women: We gather for the purpose of listening and sharing with one another as we walk together along our life paths as women-loving-women. Whether you can join us in person or if you live at such a distance that you can meet us only online, we welcome you. Our subtitle is AWE: Authenticity, Wholeness, and Empowerment, as these are our ultimate goals. We value and progress towards:  AUTHENTICITY: being truly who we are;  WHOLENESS: being all of who we are; and. EMPOWERMENT: moving through life as healthy and strong-spirited women. In person meetings are held in University Place, WA, but Kathy also works hard to accommodate the needs of women who don't live nearby.

Kathy is also an OLOHP interviewer, presenter, and the driving force behind the creation of the OLOHP DVD, Our Stories, Our Voices.

Note sent to the OLOHP: What you have done is so important that I think even you don’t understand it. This will have a life of its own and be around way after we are gone. To have thought this up, seen the need, and assumed the effort to get it done is phenomenal. I really do salute you.
TF says: The women that the OLOHP has brought to us have lived remarkable lives, often solitary and private, and we are far richer for knowing these women, their struggles and their passion.
